Samrakshan is a new initiative which has been planned and executed by IRIA to address the high rates of perinatal mortality, low birth weight and preterm babies in India. The program aims a deeper and broader focus on fetal and maternal well-being through early identification of potential morbidity that may affect feto-maternal well-being. IRIA is organizing academic programs on this subject, which have picked up very well across the country.
